The fashion industry has a reputation for being bitchy, which might be true much of the time. But it’s also a world made up of outsiders, of misfits who readily admit that they didn’t fit in very well in high school, or always felt like they lived just a little outside the box. And because of that, fashion as a whole is wonderful at celebrating differences.
